“I don't want to believe. I want to know.” - Carl Sagan

My life is a creative fusion of research in technology, health and well-being. In an effort to find my true purpose, I combine my greatest passions working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre of Research & Technology Hellas - Information Technologies Institute and as the owner, manager and yoga teacher at the Buddha Libre yoga studio.

After my PhD in Computer Science, I continue my research on wearable, web and smart home technology applications to environmental, health and well-being applications, the most prominent being the intelligent care of dementia.

Yoga has meanwhile been my shelter for creativity, calmness and stress-relief. Practicing personally and training to teach in Greece, Europe and India, since 2004, I have been blessed to share my love for Vinyasa, Hatha, Aerial, AcroYoga and Thai Massage with people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors with cognitive disorders.

My focus lies in highlighting the science behind every method: the meditative state of Vinyasa, the calmness of Pranayama and the intelligence of Acrobatics.

I love to travel and live abroad frequently, ceasing any opportunity to do so, such as scientific conferences and AcroYoga events. Meanwhile, my base in my dear hometown is the Buddha Libre yoga studio; a channel for me to bring awareness, human connection, creativity, playfulness and, in turn, well-being to an audience yet to discover the true world of yoga.

The rest of my free time, if any, goes to my two dogs Shiva & Ghost, family & friends, movies, listening to and playing music, among which New Age and chill (Delerium, Conjure One), soundtracks and neoclassical (Max Richter) and most dearly symphonic black, death and goth metal (EPICA, Evig Natt, Sinful, Septicflesh).
